If Kansas tax payers wish to donate private money in addition to their tax liability or from a designated refund they will have the ability to give the money to the arts commission in increments of $1, $5, $10 or a specified amount by donor. “This is a great way to support Kansas arts with private funds,” said Representative Worley. “I look forward to the passage of this bill and giving Kansans a convenient way to donate their money to a cause they believe provides benefits to the citizens of Kansas.” Currently the Kansas income tax form has four programs you can check to donate: Chickadee Check-off, Senior Citizen Meals on Wheels Contribution Program, Breast Cancer Research Fund and Military Emergency Relief Fund.
